BUYERS

Tom West
Ft. Wayne, In.
|
The Buyer of the Year once again was awarded to Thomas West our primary buyer in the Midwest. He's been with ProTeam a long time, according to sources deep inside the ProTeam camp. His bird dog instincts helps track down great cars and coupled with his gentleman's approach to people make him an invaluable asset to the company. Tom's hard work has put ProTeam in a league of it's own among classic car dealers. The Buyer's Award is given to applaud the effort of the least visible but one of the most integral parts of ProTeam. Here's to Tom and his continued success. If you have a car for sale email Tom at: proteam@proteamcorvette.com |

Frank Pelly,
Poland, Oh.
|
Shuster Restoration in Damascus, Ohio was Frank's first real Corvette job. He learned the ins and outs of Corvette restoration building and showing at NCRS, NCCC events and also at Bloomington and Knoxville. He's been hooked ever since and we're proud to have him on staff as a buyer. Frank lives near Cleveland with his family and is saving space in the garage for a '67 L-88 but then again who isn't? The Corvette hobby runs in Frank's blood. When asked what he does when not breathing corvettes, he shrugged and replied, "buying them." When cornered on what Corvettes lack, Frank said, "They're awesome around the block, short term but very brutal on the long haul." Frank acts as a great liaison between these cars, their owners, and ProTeam Corvette. His integrity and hard work make him a valuable asset to our staff. If you have a car for sale email Frank at: proteam@proteamcorvette.com |

Howie Ursaner
Madison, Wi.
|
Howie Ursaner is a native New Yorker currently residing in Madison. Howie's need for speed was fueled early. He spent junior high and high school under contract as a professional slot car racer where he traveled the country winning on the small track but Howie wanted a street racer. So, the day he got his driver's license, he purchased a 1966 427 convertible. Within weeks, Howie had flared the fenders on the '66, put on wide tires, changed the Silver to Blue, and converted the body to a '67. With a far away look, a smile, and a wink, Howie will only admit surviving "those good ole days."
Leaving the frenzy of New York for Wisconsin , he proved you can take the boy out of the city but you can't take city out of the boy. His first Midwest purchase was a split window out of a barn. He restored it, launched, and destroyed it at 135 MPH. Howie reminds us, "My next vette was a 65 fuelie coupe that I drove everyday for six years at a sensible speed." In 1988, Howie began buying, selling, and restoring Hemis, Cobras, and Midyear Vettes. He's sold many to museums and private collections. He has a teenage daughter and when he is not looking for Vettes, he spends time at home enjoying the slow lane. If you have a car for sale email Howie at: proteam@proteamcorvette.com |
